The real price comes from the technician’s quotation, priced from the photos and details you send on LINE rather than from a visit first. You confirm that price, and only then is the visit arranged.
A visit costs 500 baht when the technician comes from your own province and 2,000 baht from another one. It is counted inside the quote’s single total rather than billed separately, and it is not refunded if you look and decide against the repair.
- Whether the existing frame can be reused or a new one is needed
- Fabric type chosen — plain, waterproof or UV-resistant canvas
- Whether it's hand-cranked or motor-driven
The most common canvas job is replacing awning fabric that's sun-faded or torn. Replacing the canvas on an existing frame runs 400–800 baht per square metre as a market reference price; a new awning with a new frame runs 900–1,800 baht per square metre, confirmed once size and fabric type are set.

Frequently asked questions
My canvas is torn — can just the fabric be replaced, not the whole frame?
Yes, as long as the steel frame is still sound and not badly rusted. Replacing just the canvas is cheaper than redoing the whole structure — send a photo of the frame's condition and that's what the price is based on.
My electric awning's motor has failed — is that a repair or a full replacement?
Usually just the motor or control switch needs fixing. A full replacement only comes up if the frame or track is damaged as well.
Is waterproof canvas a lot more expensive than plain canvas?
It depends on the fabric grade and expected lifespan — waterproof and UV-resistant canvas costs more than plain canvas but holds up longer against sun and rain. The technician can advise based on how the space is actually used.
I'm renting the villa — should I check with the landlord before adding an awning outside?
Since it's a fixed structure on the building's exterior, it's worth confirming with the landlord first — otherwise you may be asked to remove it and restore the space at move-out, at your own cost.
