The real price comes from the technician’s quotation. Usually it is priced from the photos and details you send on LINE, with no visit first; for some jobs the technician needs to see the site first and then sends the quote. Either way you confirm the price, and only then does the work start.
A visit costs 500 baht when the technician comes from your own province and 2,000 baht from another one. It is counted inside the quote’s single total rather than billed separately, and it is not refunded if you look and decide against the repair.
If a job needs the technician to see the site before a quote can be given, and that look ends with you deciding against the work, whether the visit is charged depends on the job; you are told before the visit.
The quoted total covers every item you confirmed, but not replacement parts: whether any are needed can only be established on site, and if they are, they are charged on top of the total.
What changes the price
- Frame material chosen — aluminium sits in the middle; timber costs more over time in paint and upkeep; UPVC costs more up front but insulates against heat and noise better than either
- Glass size and type — clear or tinted glass costs less than tempered or laminated glass, which holds up better against impact
- Whether the old frame has to be removed entirely or the new one fits over it — removing the old frame adds labour and time that fitting over it doesn't
- How many points or panels need work in the same visit — bundling several usually gets a better per-point price than calling a technician out for one at a time
How to spend less
- Report a hinge or track that's just stiff or loose before it snaps or comes off the track entirely — a minor fix costs far less than repairing it after it fails outright
- If the existing frame isn't rotted or warped, fitting a new door or window over it is cheaper than removing it completely — send a photo of the frame's condition and that's what the price is based on
- If several doors or windows in the same property need work, report them together in one visit to avoid paying the call-out cost more than once
