Market reference range · actual price per quotation · Market estimates, not yet derived from completed jobs · last reviewed July 2026
The real price comes from the technician’s quotation, priced from the photos and details you send on LINE rather than from a visit first. You confirm that price, and only then is the visit arranged.
A visit costs 500 baht when the technician comes from your own province and 2,000 baht from another one. It is counted inside the quote’s single total rather than billed separately, and it is not refunded if you look and decide against the repair.
- Frame material chosen — aluminium sits in the middle; timber costs more over time in paint and upkeep; UPVC costs more up front but insulates against heat and noise better than either
- Glass size and type — clear or tinted glass costs less than tempered or laminated glass, which holds up better against impact
- Whether the old frame has to be removed entirely or the new one fits over it — removing the old frame adds labour and time that fitting over it doesn't
- How many points or panels need work in the same visit — bundling several usually gets a better per-point price than calling a technician out for one at a time
A hinge or lock repair runs 300–800 baht per point; a new aluminium door or window installation runs 1,800–3,800 baht per square metre. The biggest single factor is the frame material chosen and whether the old frame has to come out first.

How to spend less
- Report a hinge or track that's just stiff or loose before it snaps or comes off the track entirely — a minor fix costs far less than repairing it after it fails outright
- If the existing frame isn't rotted or warped, fitting a new door or window over it is cheaper than removing it completely — send a photo of the frame's condition and that's what the price is based on
- If several doors or windows in the same property need work, report them together in one visit to avoid paying the call-out cost more than once
Frequently asked questions
Am I being charged a foreigner price for this?
The ranges here are the same market reference regardless of who's asking. What actually protects you is that the technician confirms the price for your exact frame condition and material over LINE, in writing, before starting — compare it against this page rather than a verbal number alone.
A hinge or lock in my rented condo has broken — is that on me or the landlord?
Normal wear on hardware that came with the unit is typically the landlord's responsibility under a standard Thai lease; damage from how it was used is typically the tenant's. Worth raising before booking, since it decides who pays, not what the repair itself costs.
Why is aluminium versus UPVC such a big price difference?
UPVC insulates against heat and sound noticeably better than aluminium, and that performance comes from a more expensive material to manufacture — the price gap tracks that, not one brand marking up over another.
Is a cracked window dangerous, or can it wait?
A large crack, or glass that's already loose in its frame, is worth replacing promptly for safety. A small crack that's still firmly held in the frame can usually wait its turn in the schedule, but isn't worth ignoring indefinitely.
