The real price comes from the technician’s quotation, priced from the photos and details you send on LINE rather than from a visit first. You confirm that price, and only then is the visit arranged.
A visit costs 500 baht when the technician comes from your own province and 2,000 baht from another one. It is counted inside the quote’s single total rather than billed separately, and it is not refunded if you look and decide against the repair.

- Total area — a large continuous painting job usually gets a better per-square-metre price than a very small one, because setup cost is spread thinner

How to spend less
- If the old paint is still holding firm with no flaking, painting over it directly skips a large part of the surface-prep cost
- Fix small cracks or damp patches as soon as you notice them rather than letting them spread — more cracking means more filling and prep time before paint can go on
- If you're painting several rooms, or both interior and exterior, give the total area up front so the per-square-metre price reflects the whole job

Paint wearing or yellowing from ordinary years of living in a space is generally not a tenant charge under Thai rental norms; visible damage from misuse (holes, deep scuffing) usually is. An independent reference price for the actual repainting work gives you something concrete to weigh the landlord's number against.
Can you paint straight over the old colour without scraping it off first?
Yes, if the old paint is still firmly adhered with no flaking. If it's peeling or chalky, it needs to be scraped or sanded first — painting straight over that just means the new coat lets go along with the old one.
Why is exterior painting always more expensive than interior?
Exterior work usually needs scaffolding or safety equipment, and exterior-grade paint has to hold up against Thailand's sun and rain in a way interior paint doesn't — both the equipment and the material cost more.
