A visit costs 500 baht when the technician comes from your own province and 2,000 baht from another one. It is counted inside the quote’s single total rather than billed separately, and it is not refunded if you look and decide against the repair.

Frequently asked questions
My washing machine won't spin dry — does the whole machine need replacing?
Not usually. Most of the time it's the belt, the spin motor or the safety-lid switch, and that can be repaired on its own. Replacing the machine only makes sense if the parts cost comes close to the price of a new one.
The technician comes, looks at it, and I decide against repairing it — do I still pay?
Yes. The cost of coming out is already inside the total you confirmed before the technician set off, and it is not refunded if you decide against the repair after seeing it.
A landlord-supplied appliance in my rented condo broke — is that mine to sort out or the landlord's?
If it's the appliance ageing out normally, that usually falls under fixtures the landlord is responsible for; damage from how it was used may fall to the tenant. Establishing what actually failed is a separate step from settling who pays.
