I have a leak but can't find where it's actually coming from — what now?
Water often travels along a purlin before dripping, so the stain visible indoors isn't always where the leak actually is. Describe where the stain shows up and how it changes with the weather, and the technician prices from that — a leak that's hard to pin down from the description alone usually sits toward the top of the range.
It's leaking in one spot — does the whole roof need retiling?
Not necessarily. If most of the tiles are still in good shape, only the damaged section needs repair or replacement. A full retile is really only worth it once the whole roof is wearing out at once.
Does the rainy season mean technicians are fully booked and I'd wait a long time?
